Our nonprofit youth theatre company is in the process of renovating a 6,000 square foot facility in Downtown Danville, CA and building a Youth Center. Demolition is now complete, and walls are being constructed! The Center will have 3 large studio spaces for a multitude of performing arts, community, and wellness programming. We are also building a lounge/cafe at the entrance to the Center where all are free to meet with their friends, do homework, and have a safe and healthy place to be.
In this new space we will continue raising the bar in our theatre arts education as we challenge and expand those interested in exploring the arts with more productions, classes, and workshops. We will begin hosting activities and events for the entire family such as karaoke nights, family dance parties, and open mic nights to create a more connected and supportive community. We will also begin offering wellness programming focused on the physical, mental, and emotional health of our youth, giving them access to local teachers and leaders with classes in meditation, yoga, journaling, stress management, and more. A scholarship program is now in place in order to allow underprivileged youth and families enduring financial hardships to experience the benefits of the Center.
Now more than ever, our community needs this center. Our kids are being impacted in more ways than we know by what is happening in the world right now, and they will need love, support, community, and tools to help them create an empowered interpretation.
In order to complete this build we are raising funds through our No Day But Today Capital Campaign. To date we have raised $585,074 of the $750,000 needed to complete the project and only have 22% left to reach our goal by this Fall! We are continuing to seek individual, foundation, and corporate interest as we align with those who believe in this vision. Digital recognition starts at just $100, or we welcome you to join the tens of families, clubs, and businesses like the Rotary Club of Danville / Sycamore Valley and Holland & Knight LLP and feature your business on our Donor Wall starting at $10,000.
Our purpose is to enact major social change starting at the community level and we are in need of major support.
If you are interested in learning more about the Center please email our Executive Director, Shayna Ronen, at email@example.com.
We appreciate your generosity as we build a place for our youth to become the empowered world-changers they are destined to be!
